WINTER WORKSHOP 1

ECO- PRINTING

As requested, I am finally bringing my eco-printing workshop to Cape Town, at the ever so lovely Ladder Cafe on Bree Street.

The workshop will be 3 hours long and cover the process of Eco-printing.

This will be an introduction to Eco-printing covering all questions you might have and include a printed workbook to take home.

We will be using handwoven cotton from Barrydale hand weavers to create your very own mini wall hanging.

Your ticket will include all materials a light snack and beverage.

As well as a workbook to take home covering all the instructions.

Using beautiful local cotton as our canvas you can explore and choose from an array of plants to decorate your wall hanging.

The hanging will come with a wooden rod, to hang with.

The wall hanging will be 40cm x 30cm

Eco-printing is a contact print transferred onto a fiber, a natural chemical reaction that happens when a tannin-rich plant is steamed with the presence of a mordant.

This is a magical process to witness and doesn't require any artistic ability, just a curiosity for the magic of plant colour.

This event is family friendly, children 7 years or older are welcome to book a spot too.

Please let me know if you have any further questions. I look forward to welcoming you.

Alternatively please contact me and I can send you a private invoice or answer any further questions you might have.

Thank you
