I am Nastasha a multi-disciplinary artist from Cape Town South Africa, currently residing in a small village called Napier in the Overberg region of the Western Cape.
Here I have founded an art studio and gallery space.
The Adorned, was created as a container for my ever-evolving capsule collections.
While my practice spans various mediums, a common thread connects each body of work: a minimal aesthetic grounded in a deep connection to nature and a reverence for artisanal craft.
My work functions as a quiet record of time and place. Stitch becomes a method of marking time, reminiscent of ancient calendars. Natural dyes carry the memory of place, while bones and shells exist as physical remnants.
Rather than conceal irregularity or imperfection, the work allows process and material history to remain visible. Reflecting on value, care, and the transformation of overlooked materials.
