Hand painted with 10 layers of heavy body pearl acrylic paint, illustrated with ink and sealed with 3 layers of varnish. Semi-gloss finish.

Part of my ongoing collection, The Adorned, each skull is covered with symbols from my personal dictionary of symbols. I am influenced by symbology from all cultures. I illustrate every skull with no pre-planned design, I sit with the skull, and let the design flow according to the shape of the skull or a certain aesthetic that comes to me in the moment. 

All skulls are of natural death and have been properly cleaned by a taxidermist.
